Combine assessment scores and weights to find a course weighted grade. The result separates the average of completed work from earned overall percentage points, remaining weight and the possible final range. An optional target shows the average needed on the remaining work. Use the test grade calculator for one test, or the final exam calculator when only one exam remains.
Choose percentage weights or point weights. Scores are percentages from 0 to 100 in both modes. For example, 18 earned out of 20 becomes 90 in the score field. Percentage mode uses a fixed full-course budget of 100. Point mode requires the full course weight budget: for a 200-point course, enter 200 and use assessment point values as weights. Point mode does not take earned points directly as scores.
Each weight must be positive. Enter up to 50 assessments. The point budget cannot exceed 1,000,000; individual weights and their sum cannot exceed the full budget. A blank score means ungraded. An explicit 0 is a completed zero. Any unassigned budget also remains ungraded, so you need not create placeholder assignments to fill the budget.
The optional target is a 0–100 overall percentage. Editing a field clears the old result; calculate again for an updated result. Inputs stay in component state and are not stored or put in URLs.
Let W be the full-course weight budget, with completed scores sᵢ and weights wᵢ:
